All the chaos and cacophony of the mid 70’s UK punk scene come roaring back in this promo for the new FX docu-series Pistol lovingly smashed together by the crew at Block & Tackle in NY.

Block & Tackle CDs Adam Gault and Ted Kotsaftis: “The Sex Pistols hilarious, emotional, and at times heartbreaking journey takes us through a kaleidoscopic telling of three of the most epic, chaotic, and mucus-spattered years in the history of music.

“We had a crackin’ time fucking with the mo-cap that the team at FX provided us. Plastering chaotic collages into the 3D scenes, and filling the actor’s bodies with grungy textures, we created an immersive environment that pulls the viewer deeper into the anarchic world of Pistol.

“To achieve an authentic, own-able visual language for the series, the B&T team got their hands dirty with all sorts of analog techniques. We distressed photographs, ripped shirts, spilled ink, tore paper, stepped on things, and were frequently disrespectful to British royalty.”
