Creative director Morgan Powell at Seed Animation in London: “Yelp’s first campaign since 2016 features three restaurateurs who turned the unpleasantness of the pandemic into positive situations by giving food out to local people and offering opportunities to chefs who were struggling to get by.

“To reflect the positivity of the campaign, we used ‘traditional’ CG animation and stylized motion capture to create a playful and colorful toy-style world around a visual analogy of ‘Turn the Tables’ where empty restaurants flip into thriving spaces.

“A big shout out to the team at Yelp for giving us the opportunity to visually develop this from scratch. It’s a rare treat to have such an enthusiastic client willing to creatively explore.”
