Electric Theatre Collective Expands to US With NYC Studio

From the release:

Award-winning creative studio Electric Theatre Collective have announced their expansion into the US. Located at 166 Crosby Street atop popular Café Lyria, the New York offering will mirror Electric’s London studio, crafting VFX, colour and design for a growing myriad of clients. The launch is spearheaded by Antonia Vlasto, who steps into the role of Managing Director: New York, following a seven year stint at Electric London as EP.

Since opening their doors in 2011, Electric have established a reputation for crafting groundbreaking global work. The first ever recipients of a D&AD VFX Black Pencil for ‘Cash In Cash Out’, they also received praise for Coca Cola’s epic ‘Masterpiece’ and ‘The Heroes’ films, scooping numerous accolades including four coveted VES awards. 2024 saw them named ‘VFX Company Of The Year’ at the Ad Age Creativity Awards – a title they’re shortlisted for once again this year. The team also had a recent taste of Super Bowl success, working on GoDaddy’s 2025 commercial starring Walton Goggins.

Cementing the studio’s reputation for harnessing unparalleled talent worldwide, Antonia is already joined by a stellar line up of producers and creatives, with more inbound in the coming weeks. EP Polly Durrance makes the jump across the pond, joining Big Apple-based Chris Connolly in the same role. Arriving from The Mill NY are Katherine Miccio and Dara O Cairbre (Senior producers) as well as Renato Carone and Ruairi Twohig (2D VFX supervisors), alongside Jaymin Han (Compositor).

Joining from Harbor, Creative Director Kyle Cody brings a wealth of expertise gained across high voltage VFX projects and Super Bowl commercials for the likes of Oreo and Ritz. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be joining the incredibly talented team at Electric Theatre Collective”, he comments. “The London studio has set the standard for visual excellence, consistently producing some of the most striking and imaginative VFX work in the world. It’s an honour to help carry that legacy forward as we expand into the US. We’re not just showing up, we’re raising the bar.”

Antonia concludes: “The launch of Electric in New York is a very special one for us. Not only does it mark a pivotal moment for the Collective, but we’re doing it with some of the best in the industry. We’re sticking to our DNA and focusing on creativity and culture, with a commitment to making our East Coast hub distinctly Electric.

“We’ve been honing our craft and cultivating our culture in London for nearly fourteen years now, and there are so many elements we’re carrying across and imprinting on Electric NY. Our new space holds people, creative ambition and our renowned sense of spirit at its heart, and I am incredibly honoured to welcome old clients and new to our Crosby Street home.”

Electric New York is now open for business, offering access locally and worldwide to their acclaimed roster of artists across colour grading, VFX, finishing, design and animation.
