The recent uptick in beautifully rendered spec CG product films (here for example) is certainly a welcome trend and this project from Stockholm 3D artist and motion designer Floris Kruger extends the genre with a refreshing touch of comedy.

Floris Kruger: “A commercial for a robot vacuum cleaner starts off perfectly, showcasing its cleaning prowess but an unexpected twist takes it from spotless to explosive. This is not your average vacuum ad. It may also be written by ChatGPT, who knows.

“I tried to balance the stale and the stylized office space with a generous dose of humor. The paper explosion is a happy accident that transforms the ordinary into a mesmerizing spectacle. Following a color scheme really helped showing the viewer what to focus on.​​​​​​​
