The 2024 edition of the Google Marketing Live event opened with this bright and bubbly mixed-motion sequence lead by Scholar CDs Will Campbell and Juan Carlos Cuadra who set out to “showcase what Google AI can do for you”.
From the team at Scholar: “In a world abuzz with AI, we teamed up with Google for the GML intro film to make the complex feel fun. Instead of tedious tech talk we focused on showing how AI can revamp advertising with a playful twist. From brainstorming whimsical animation ideas to crafting a delightful narrative, we brought a fresh perspective to the project.
“Mixed media, which ranged from collage to 3D, was key in representing the capabilities of Google’s AI. This blend of techniques underscored the versatile nature of each product. And sometimes we just needed to use wild animated typography to tell the story – the dynamic movement of the text helped emphasize key points and keep the momentum going.”
