Working thru UK agency Design Bridge and Partners, Berlin animation studio Woodblock and London prodco Unit9 fashion a flurry of motion sequences in a multitude of styles for Lenovo’s Yoga laptops – assembled here in a supercut.

Felix Deimann, CD at Woodblock: “Design Bridge and Partners approached us and Unit9 to direct two product films that position Lenovo’s new Yoga devices as high end tools for creatives across disciplines. To showcase this and the creative process, we developed vignettes for each product feature in different styles.

“That led to a complex production that involved everything from frame-by-frame animation to After Effects motion graphics, product visualizations, and complex Houdini simulations.

“To make all that happen, we stacked our team with interdisciplinary talents and added extra man and woman power to our leads and producers team. To account for a more complex approval process we kept our postings very flexible. Depending on the phase of the production we sometimes had daily check-ins with the agency to keep communication as tight as possible.”
