Barilla “Pasta is Born Again” (Director’s Cut) by Philippe André and Glassworks

Pasta goes completely galactic in this over-the-top ode to Italy’s finest from French director Philippe André and the VFX crew at Glassworks through Publicis Italy for the launch of Barilla’s Al Bronzo label.

Philippe André: “I wanted to approach this film with the attention of a landscape study and the scale of space’s astral turbulence. The extreme close-up can then become the wide. The Finite world opening on the Infinite.”

From the team at Glassworks: “Using a mix of 3D, 2D, and in-camera work, our VFX team helped create a stunning Big Bang of flavor. CGI pasta fields and celestial bodies feature alongside real-life water and colorful clouds, all blended in with cosmic 2D backgrounds and 3D textures.

“Our creative lead Duncan Malcolm worked hand in hand with Philippe André to test and develop this powerful narrative. Fully involved in the test shoot and pre-production stage, Duncan also supervised the filming and led the VFX and post-production.”
